A Highly Valued, Energetic Paralegal
Kendall Rush is an energetic paralegal who lives in Durham, but hails from Raleigh where she has worked since 2012. As a valued member of Hannah Sheridan & Cochran, LLP (HSC), which is one of the top law firms in Raleigh NC, Kendall believes construction law found her instead of vice versa, and she continues to learn new information every day in her work.
After graduating from Appalachian State University in December 2010, Kendall earned a paralegal certificate from Meredith College in May 2012, and became a state-certified paralegal a year later. She is a member of the NC Bar Association’s Paralegal Division.
Working and Growing
As a paralegal employed with one of the top law firms in Raleigh NC, Kendall spends her workdays assisting the team at HSC. She helps with case research and preparation of documentation, liaises with clients and helps organize and manage the firm’s files.
Kendall also assists the attorneys in preparation for hearings and trials, and maintains their office calendars. In addition to corresponding with clients, she communications with various staff at the clerks’ offices and files legal documentation at the local courthouses. Outside of legal work, Kendall handles multiple administrative tasks for the firm.
Getting Job Satisfaction
Kendall feels that helping the attorneys prepare for trial always feels like a huge accomplishment, especially when they win! She admits that a lot of time and effort goes into the preparation for a construction law case, and she really enjoys seeing the fruits of her labor.
Hobbies and Causes
Kendall previously served as the vice president of membership for the Raleigh-Wake Paralegal Association. She has collected medals in various races, including two half marathons, and completing a marathon is on her bucket list. Kendall is the owner of a spoiled pug named Gertie, who brings tremendous pleasure to her life.
