A belief in justice
It may sound cliché, but for Rachel Rogers, practicing law truly is an opportunity to help others, to bring people together toward agreement, and to strive for justice. It’s why she left politics after a stint at the North Carolina Democratic Party and chose to attend law school. Rachel came to realize that as an attorney she could help more people and have a greater impact in their lives.
In her day-to-day work, Rachel shifts between case review and litigation prep, all in service of the client’s needs. In fact, after completing an internship at the N.C. Real Estate Commission and a previous role at a firm specializing in insurance law, Rachel has grown to love civil litigation — which she sees as helping people and businesses protect their interests. While working in insurance defense, she learned that it was important to find the balance between compensating the injured while also protecting the insurance companies and their financials based on policy adjustments.
A multifaceted skillset
Rachel is qualified to manage and advance all aspects of Hannah Sheridan’s areas of specialization. Practice areas include:
- Construction Law
- Collection Law
- Business Law
- Technology Law
- Civil Litigation
Having good intentions
Rachel brings an outgoing and warm personality to the firm and its clients and puts her heart into everything she does. To Rachel, legal practice is more than just a client or case. There are real people involved, and outcomes in court or during settlement proceedings can have real and lasting consequences. Rachel does not take her role lightly. She believes if she can help someone else, even in a small way, then she is doing something right.
Cherishing what matters most
Rachel recently got engaged to her fiancée, Jordan, and looks forward to building a life together. She enjoys spending time with her parents and two brothers whom she grew up with in Fayetteville, NC, and of course, her beloved boxer Scout.
After graduating from N.C. State, Rachel was fortunate to travel to Europe and see the world. She brings that same wide-eyed wonder and sense of curiosity to Hannah Sheridan each day.
