Back to School For North Carolina General Contractors
The various local media outlets do a good job of covering activity on Jones Street, but with over 1000 bills introduced in this legislative session, it is truly impossible for them to cover everything. If you or your company hold a North Carolina General Contractor’s license, a bill passed this week and awaiting the Governor’s signature, which is expected, should be of interest. It is back to school for you. To renew your license, you must complete 8 hours of continuing education. Two of those hours will be mandatory and set by the Licensing Board for General Contractors. The other six will be elective, but must be sanctioned by the Board. Courses must be live, taught by a Board-approved instructor. You have from January 1 to November 30 to get your hours.
